Kenneth Copeland has been an empowering evangelist for over 43 years now. He is a success story of evangelism himself, he has only been a plain wandering human in the past, and now he is a dedicated Christian.
We all have the same story as he has, we are born, we exist, and we perish. But Kenneth Copeland sought to become different. That is what becoming a Christian is, to become different from the rest who breathe only to die. Every day that we devote our lives to gaining temporal belongings, we are already crafting our lives to a fate of constant wanting and committing sins. However, if you become a Christian, you look into more than what reality can bring you. For Christians live to live.
So here we are. If you want to start afresh you have to bear in mind three things: finding God, accepting Him, and following His Words. These are the three primary steps in becoming a good Christian.
Finding God. You may phrase this is the easiest part. But to tell you the truth, the first step is at all times the hardest. Because with the first step there is something that you need to bequeath and you have to abandon. You bequeath your devotion and you abandon your qualms. Sounds overly difficult? Decisions in life are usually the hardest. But the Bible says, "Your father knows what you have to have before you ask him… seek out first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. That is why do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Now's tribulation is enough for today. (Matthew 6:8b, 31-34).
Accepting Him. God said, "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:13). Yes, we discover the Lord because we need Him. We accept Him so we can retrieve the real significance of our lives. Conversion. Upon receiving God unto your life, keep in mind that you have been reborn, and you have been given an eternal life for spiritual death has been taken from you. You have to be baptized in the presence of the Holy Spirit. How? The Word of God is in you, it has forever been. You must let it take over your thoughts, your feeling and your tongue. Speak these words, ""Heavenly Father, I am a believer. I am Your child and You are my Father. Jesus is my Lord. I believe with all my heart that Your Word is true" and you are now in the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Following His Words. Once you have become a born again, Kenneth Copeland says you have to enrich your every day spiritual needs with the Word of God. Same as your earthly body requires nutrition, you have to nourish your spirit by reading and studying the Bible. Contemplate in your thoughts how the Words of God can be applied to your everyday life. That is the most effective way of studying the Bible. Only then can you see yourself as God sees you.
